Ingredients of Jackfruit Biriyani
- You need 400 gm of basmati rice.
- It's 200 gm of jackfruit chopped.
- Prepare 2 tablespoon of poppy seeds paste.
- Prepare 1 cup of yogurt.
- You need 10 of green chillies paste.
- It's 5 gm of kesar.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of milk.
- You need 2 of medium sized onion boiled and pasted.
- You need 2 tsp of garlic paste.
- It's 1 tsp of turmeric.
- It's of Salt as required.
- It's of Vegetable oil as required.
- You need 5 of potatoes cut into 2 halves.
- Prepare 1 tsp of kewra water.
- Prepare 1 tsp of rose water.
- Prepare 2 tablespoon of ghee.
- It's 4 of cloves.
- You need 4 of green cardamom.
- You need 1 inch of cinnamon.
- Prepare 100 gm of khoya.
- It's of Vegetable oil as required.
- It's of Salt as required.
- It's of Sugar as required.
- You need 2 tbsp of Biriyani masala :.

- You need 1 inch of cinnamon.
- Prepare 1 tsp of shah jeera.
- Prepare 1 tsp of white peppercorn.
- You need 5 gm of nutmeg.
- Prepare 5 gm of mace.
- Prepare of Grind these in a smooth powder.
Jackfruit Biriyani instructions
- Boil the jackfruit with some salt and turmeric..
- Half boil the potatoes and deep fry them in a wok. Keep it aside..
- Heat some oil and 1tablespoon of ghee in a wok, add the cloves, green cardamom and cinnamon, saute it for a moment.
- Add the boiled onion paste, garlic paste, and green chilli paste..
- Cook it for sometime until the raw aroma dissapears..
- Add the jackfruit, biriyani masala and salt. Saute it again for sometime..
- Add the yogurt and the poppy seed paste and little amount of sugar. Saute it very well untill you notice the oil coming out from the sides..
- Soak the kesar in the milk in a separate container and keep it aside..
- Now in a large container, add some half boiled basmati rice. Add a layer of fried potatoes and the cooked jackfruit, biriyani masala, grated khoya and ghee. Repeat the process till the end..
- When the layering is finished, add the kesar along with the milk, rose water and kewra water..
- Cover the container tightly with a lid and keep it under a low flame for sometime or until the rice has been cooked completely..
- Remove it from the flame. Serve hot..
