Ingredients of Jackfruit Biriyani

  1. You need 400 gm of basmati rice.
  2. It's 200 gm of jackfruit chopped.
  3. Prepare 2 tablespoon of poppy seeds paste.
  4. Prepare 1 cup of yogurt.
  5. You need 10 of green chillies paste.
  6. It's 5 gm of kesar.
  7. Prepare 1/2 cup of milk.
  8. You need 2 of medium sized onion boiled and pasted.
  9. You need 2 tsp of garlic paste.
  10. It's 1 tsp of turmeric.
  11. It's of Salt as required.
  12. It's of Vegetable oil as required.
  13. You need 5 of potatoes cut into 2 halves.
  14. Prepare 1 tsp of kewra water.
  15. Prepare 1 tsp of rose water.
  16. Prepare 2 tablespoon of ghee.
  17. It's 4 of cloves.
  18. You need 4 of green cardamom.
  19. You need 1 inch of cinnamon.
  20. Prepare 100 gm of khoya.
  21. It's of Vegetable oil as required.
  22. It's of Salt as required.
  23. It's of Sugar as required.
  24. You need 2 tbsp of Biriyani masala :.
  25. You need 4 of cloves.
  26. Prepare 4 of green cardamom.
  27. You need 1 inch of cinnamon.
  28. Prepare 1 tsp of shah jeera.
  29. Prepare 1 tsp of white peppercorn.
  30. You need 5 gm of nutmeg.
  31. Prepare 5 gm of mace.
  32. Prepare of Grind these in a smooth powder.

Jackfruit Biriyani instructions

  1. Boil the jackfruit with some salt and turmeric..
  2. Half boil the potatoes and deep fry them in a wok. Keep it aside..
  3. Heat some oil and 1tablespoon of ghee in a wok, add the cloves, green cardamom and cinnamon, saute it for a moment.
  4. Add the boiled onion paste, garlic paste, and green chilli paste..
  5. Cook it for sometime until the raw aroma dissapears..
  6. Add the jackfruit, biriyani masala and salt. Saute it again for sometime..
  7. Add the yogurt and the poppy seed paste and little amount of sugar. Saute it very well untill you notice the oil coming out from the sides..
  8. Soak the kesar in the milk in a separate container and keep it aside..
  9. Now in a large container, add some half boiled basmati rice. Add a layer of fried potatoes and the cooked jackfruit, biriyani masala, grated khoya and ghee. Repeat the process till the end..
  10. When the layering is finished, add the kesar along with the milk, rose water and kewra water..
  11. Cover the container tightly with a lid and keep it under a low flame for sometime or until the rice has been cooked completely..
  12. Remove it from the flame. Serve hot..
